Become a Rockland SCORE Volunteer

Does this sound like you?

  • A successful small business owner or corporate executive with a minimum of five years of business leadership and operational experience.
  • Currently working full time, part time, or retired.
  • Interested in working with start-up and existing small businesses.
  • Willing to volunteer at least four to six hours a month.
  • Experienced in one or more of the following areas:
    • General management
    • Business accounting
    • Business law
    • Marketing
    • Sales
    • Finance and Banking
    • Business insurance
    • E Commerce
    • Information technology and support
    • Management consulting
  • Interested in participating in one or more of the following activities:
    • Business counselor/mentor
    • Seminar leader
    • Topic expert (i.e., Accounting, Law, Insurance, Banking & Finance)
    • Marketing and promotion
    • Webmaster
    • Technology support
    • New client development
    • Fundraising
    • Administrative support
    • Client scheduling and coordination
  • Experienced with using Word, the Internet, email and attachments.

Rockland SCORE is part of a national association which is all volunteer, non-profit, and a resource partner with the US Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration (SBA).

The SCORE Association has over 350 Chapters across the United States with more than 10,000 volunteers. Rockland SCORE, located in Spring Valley, New York, is staffed with volunteers from a variety of business backgrounds and are dedicated to assisting clients start their own business or helping solve problems for those already in business.
